AIMP berbeda dengan VLC, kalo VLC bisa untuk memutar file audio dan Video, AIMP hanya audio saja . . . Jadi AIMP hanya berfokus untuk memutar file Audio saja, mirip seperti Winamp, bisa dibilang kalau AIMP alternatif dari Winamp.
Dari segi fitur AIMP memiliki beberapa fitur penting yang tidak dimiliki oleh Winamp . . . AIMP bukan hanya untuk memutar file audio saja, tetapi juga terdapat Audio Converter, recorder, Tag editor, coverart downloader, dll . . . Kalo dilihat dari ukuran nya AIMP jauh lebih kecil dibanding Winamp, yang jadi pertanyaan nya kenapa ukuran AIMP bisa lebih kecil padahal AIMP memiliki fitur audio converter? Ya karena fitur AIMP tak sebanyak fitur Winamp . . . Winamp memiliki banyak fungsi tapi fungsi tersebut jarang sekali digunakan karena memang tidak begitu penting yang akhirnya hanya membuat ukuran Winamp membengkak . . . tapi pilihan tetap ditangan sobat, pakai AIMP boleh pakai Winamp pun boleh. ^^
